Home cinema in Dubai, designed as a room, not a TV.

A dedicated cinema is the one room in the house where nothing is improvised. We design the room, the acoustics, the sightlines and the equipment together, then calibrate it so the first film looks and sounds as the director intended.

Cinema rooms engineered from the shell

A home cinema in Dubai starts with the room: isolation from the rest of the villa, a ceiling high enough for a proper screen, air handling that is silent, and a floor that can take tiered seating. We give the architect the room drawings before the slab is poured.

Inside we specify the screen size from the seating distance, the projector from the screen, the speakers from the room volume and the acoustic treatment from the measurements, not from a brochure. Every cinema is calibrated by our own engineers to Dolby and THX references.

What our home cinemas include

  • Dolby Atmos and DTS:X speaker layouts, hidden behind acoustic fabric
  • 4K and 8K laser projection or direct view LED walls
  • Acoustic design, isolation and treatment to measured targets
  • Tiered seating, star ceilings and lighting scenes
  • One button: lights dim, blinds close, screen drops, film starts
  • Apple TV, Kaleidescape, Sky, beIN and games consoles on one remote

Media rooms and family cinemas

Not every Dubai family wants a blacked out room. We also build media rooms that double as living space, with a large screen or LED wall, surround sound in the ceiling and treatment hidden in the joinery, so the room is as comfortable with the lights on as with them off.

FAQ

Questions we are often asked

How big a room does a home cinema need?

A proper home cinema in Dubai works well from about five metres by seven, with a ceiling of three metres or more. Smaller rooms become excellent media rooms. We advise from the drawings before you commit space.

Projector or LED wall?

For a dark dedicated home cinema in Dubai a 4K laser projector still gives the most cinematic picture per dirham. For a bright media room or a majlis an LED wall wins, because it ignores daylight.

Can the cinema be soundproofed from the bedrooms?

Yes, if it is designed in. Our home cinema rooms in Dubai use isolated walls, floating floors and silent air handling, and we agree the build details with the contractor before first fix.

Who calibrates the picture and sound?

Our own engineers. Every home cinema we hand over in Dubai is measured and calibrated in the room, and we return after the furniture and fabrics are in to adjust it again.
