A design consultation, site survey or engineer call out costs AED 1,800 plus VAT and covers up to four hours with a senior engineer. Time beyond that is AED 450 an hour plus VAT. Both are credited against the project if you go ahead with us.
The smallest residential project we take on in Dubai is AED 750,000 of technology. Below that level the design time we put into every house cannot be justified, and there are good local firms for smaller jobs. These dirham figures are our group rates converted at the exchange rate on the date shown at the foot of this page and rounded.

Questions we are often asked
Why is the consultation not free?
Because a smart home consultation in Dubai done properly takes a senior engineer half a day and produces drawings you can use. We charge for it, credit it to the project and do not pad the installation price to hide it.
Is VAT included in your prices?
Our published smart home rates in Dubai are shown plus VAT at the UAE rate of five percent, and every proposal shows the VAT line separately.
Does the budget builder include installation?
No. The smart home budget builder for Dubai covers equipment only. Installation, cabling, programming, televisions and a dedicated cinema are priced after the survey, when we know the house.
Why a minimum project size?
