Smart home system takeovers in Dubai, when the last installer vanished.
Unfinished installations and contractors who have left the country are a Dubai speciality. We survey what exists, keep what is worth keeping, rebuild the rest properly and hand you the keys to your own system.
How a takeover works
A smart home system takeover in Dubai begins with a paid audit. Two senior engineers spend a day in the plant room and the rooms, log in to what they can, document what they cannot, and write a report that tells you plainly what works, what is unsafe and what it will cost to put right.
Then we quote a fixed price. Often the hardware is fine and the programming is the problem; sometimes the rack is a fire risk and has to come out. Either way you get a system you own, with its code, drawings and passwords in your portal, and 1Install Care behind it.
Systems we take over
- Crestron and Crestron Home residences left without a programmer
- Control4 villas with locked dealer accounts
- KNX installations with no project file
- Lutron and Rako lighting that nobody can edit
- Audio, video and cinema systems that never worked properly
- Networks and camera systems left open to the internet
Upgrades without starting again
Many Dubai villas from the last fifteen years have good cabling and tired electronics. A takeover is often the moment to move an old processor to Crestron Home or Control4 OS 3, replace failed dimmers with current Lutron modules and add the air conditioning and shading that were never connected.
FAQ
Questions we are often asked
How quickly can you audit a failed system?
For a smart home system takeover in Dubai we can usually have engineers on site within a week and the written report with you a few days later.
Do I have to replace everything?
Rarely. Most Dubai system takeovers keep the cabling, the speakers, the keypads and much of the rack. We replace what has failed or is unsafe, reprogram the rest and document all of it.
What if the previous installer will not release the passwords?
It happens often in Dubai. We recover or reset access through the manufacturers' dealer channels where we can, and where we cannot we replace the locked component. You will never be in that position with us.
Is the audit free?
No. The audit for a system takeover in Dubai is charged at our published consultation rate, AED 1,800 plus VAT for up to four hours, and it is deducted from the project if you go ahead with us.
